  4. Holiday Party is on 12/19. Students can come to school in pajamas, with a blanket, and with a stuffed animal. If you want to send something in for the holiday party let me know, please no peanut products. We do need small bottles of water for the day. We have enough napkins and cups from our Thanksgiving celebration but we do still need plates. It is going to be a snack at 10:00 am. We will still be eating lunch at school.

Holidays Around the World

When we learned about Christmas in America, England, and France we made different craft activities. We made our own Santa, a cracker with candy inside it, and decorated a picture of a tree. Here are a couple pictures of students doing some of these activities.

Elf Antics and Escapades

Holly had some more fun over the past week. She sat in a basket, hung on our American flag, brought us an ornament to make, and left us gingerbread houses to decorate!

For the gingerbread houses Holly brought students had to work together in teams to create their gingerbread house. They had to work together cooperatively and come up with a strategy for how they should put their house pieces together.

After each team assembled their houses we let them dry. A couple days later each team got together again to develop a plan for how they wanted to decorate their houses. Students were provided with a bag of materials. Every student in each group had to have a job or had to have contributed to the project/idea in some way. These were the finished projects.

Students made snowman ornaments with their pictures over the past two weeks. They will also be taking home a more fragile ornament on Wednesday. Be on the lookout for these two items.

As always have a great week!
